In addition, our professional on-site staff are equipped to intervene immediately during any emergency event, with two large equine hospitals within close proximity. Our clients and partners receive regular reports and photos of their breeding stock. Using our advanced monitoring technology, owners receive access to live webcam feeds to monitor their horses in real time 24/7.

OUR MISSION

To facilitate the enjoyment & wide-ranging rewards available to our clients in the thoroughbred industry

OUR VISION

To maintain an exceptional environment on our farm that drives positive effects for the lives of our horses & provides them every opportunity of success in their racing & breeding careers.

OUR UNIQUE LOCATION

Climate

The Southern Highlands Regions has more rain all year round than the Upper Hunter Valley. The average rainfall for the area is 1050 millimeters a year (compared to 650mm at Scone). This means that we have grass growing better and longer in this area compared with the Scone Region. Our temperatures are cooler and our horses acclimatise better with the cold than with the heat. Silverdale has been compared more to the area around Cambridge NZ more so than the Hunter.

Soil

The soil on the property is rich in minerals, trace elements and nutrients ensuring the best nurturing for growing stock and providing them every opportunity to fulfil their potential. Our location: in the Southern Highlands is a major advantage being closer to the racetracks in Sydney. From an international perspective the racing environment in NSW is right up there with the best in the world for facilities, prize money and production of world class bloodstock. Our owners and partners find the farm very accessible allowing them to keep in touch with their horses.
